Decide.

Yes, decide, that no matter your circumstance or feeling, to choose to greet each day, and each person you meet, with your best foot forward this year.

In 1407 BC, 3,428 years ago, Moses’ protege and one of Israel’s most faithful leaders, Joshua, boldly confronted a cultural issue going on with his people. They were serving other gods instead of the one true God (who had JUST lead them out of slavery in Egypt and 40 years of wandering in the desert mind you). He called for them people to make a choice. To decide. Who were they going to serve??? Then Joshua shared his decision and declared:

“Choose this day whom you will serve…as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” ~ Joshua 24:15

I’ll never forget that Sunday morning when I was speaking in front of my home church in 8th grade. When the moment in my talk arrived for me to share this above verse, in which I was also publically proclaiming it as my decision, I couldn’t hold back the tears. Every fiber of my 13-year-old being felt the weight, conviction, purpose, and passion of every single word that was coming out of my mouth…my heart.

May this Savvy U™ site and services encourage you to live a purposeful and passionate life for and with Him.

And, if I may offer a challenge, even if just for one week, decide to throw your arms out and one “best foot forward” to start each day. Bet you can’t do it without smiling!
